Job Title: Programme Officer Outreach and Fundraising (POOF)
Location: Kaduna, Nigeria.

Contract Duration: Initial Contract of limited duration, renewable based on performance. Probation period of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities
- The Programme Officer Outreach and Fundraising will co-lead the routine outreach and fundraising functions of the organisation
- Co-lead in the development of organisational marketing and outreach framework (inclusive of actionable tools)
- Scopes, identifies and develops partnerships with relevant networks, coalitions, think tanks, intergovernmental organisations and CBOs and I/NGOs to drive EWEI’s strategic priorities
- Proactively identifies prospects, building and maintaining a pipeline to grow donor partnerships
- Develops donor and programme reporting processes through input from different departments
- Co-lead In the review of existing Grant Management System and establishment of improved system
- Co-lead in the development and delivery of high quality grant proposals to secure targets of diverse (restricted and unrestricted) funds for the organisation with set targets
- Track and report progress on all assigned duties.
Required Education, Qualification and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree essential in a relevant Additional qualifications in project management, fundraising and establishing professional partnerships is a plus
- At least two years job related experience in grant writing and project management
- A good understanding of the development and non-profit sector in Nigeria and globally
- Demonstrated ability to network and liaise with international stakeholders, including the media
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write blogs, press releases, presentations and reports.
- Strong service orientation, flexibility and understanding of organisation’s needs
- Experience of working in a team and under pressure
- Excellent use of grant management system and at least one professional certificate in one of same
- Must be familiar and able to comfortably utilise the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent oral and written English.
- Other languages (e.g. Hausa) and foreign languages including French are an

- Lead on assigning and monitoring of volunteers/interns/associates and the organisation at
- Support administrative and any assigned functions of the Organisational Development and Partnership Department and ensure proper filing of all documents, hard and soft copies.
- Support in providing and updating annual and monthly plans for the organisation
- Lead on all recruitment processes.
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.

- Bachelor’s degree essential in a relevant discipline. Additional qualifications in Gender, Knowledge Management and Training is a plus.
