GRACE AJIBOLA OKUNOLA

Grace A. Okunola was the Head Girl while in her junior secondary school at Government Girls Secondary School Independence Way, Kaduna when she became a beneficiary of the ESP in 2014.

While at school, she was an official of the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), Jet club and a member of the Generations For Peace club. Her favourite subjects were Mathematics, English and Science.

Following her graduation from secondary school, Grace interned with EWEI for six months and was then offered employment while she waited to enroll into higher institution.

During her internship, she went through intensive capacity building and development  in ICT, social entrepreneurship and gained a number of certifications.

Grace gained admission into Kaduna Polytechnic in 2020 to study Science Laboratory Technology.

Grace is also the founder of Stand Firm for Girls. Stand Firm for Girls is an organisation with a mission to inspire adolescent girls through peer-to-peer education, skills acquisition, advocacy, and volunteering, and works to protect the interest of young women and girls, through its community clubs. The clubs hold meetings virtually and on-site in rural communities across Kaduna State, Nigeria.

She continues her journey with EWEI as our first STEM Ambassador.
