Meet the Team

 

 

Essien EtukudoESSIEN ETUKUDO is the Programme Officer, Finance and Supplies for Empowering Women for Excellence Initiative.  He joined the team in September 2010 as a part time Assistant Programme Officer, Finance and Supplies (APOFS).  He assumed the office of Programme Officer of the same department since January, 2012.  Essien Etukudo is also a Peace Pioneer for Generation for Peace.

Etukudo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Economics and is an associate member with the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

His four years of working experience with EWEI has invaluably enhanced his professional skills. This is in addition to being involved in various developmental projects, which have positively impacted the society in particular and the world in general.

Ohis Samson Amu AMU OHIS SAMSON is the Assistant Programme Officer Media and Publicity of Empowering Women for Excellence Initaitive in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria and a certified Peace Pioneer with Generations For Peace Kaduna, Nigeria.

Ohis started work with EWEI in the year 2009 as a Volunteer Intern, then part time Programme Officer Media and Publicity before leaving to complete his Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication in 2011.  He rejoined the EWEI team, this time as a full time staff in March 2013. His responsibilities include coordinating the development and execution of a communication strategy, assisting in the planning and delivery of project communication plans and maintaining the cooporate calender and communication activity portfolio. He is also responsible for the preparation of  EWEI NEWS and press releases and serves as the content manager of the EWEI social media and online platforms.

Ohis says of his work with EWEI, “EWEI has helped me build a career in the non- profit sector through capacity building and training and I am part of this team because I believe in the vision and mission.”
